Dubai Hills Cycling Track: Map, Loops & Facts

The route

Dubai Hills Estate is Emaar's flagship green community, and the riding matches the brochure: about 7 km of connected lanes run along the central boulevard and the edge of Dubai Hills Park, with the 18-hole championship golf course supplying the scenery. The number is measured from the lane geometry on our live map, not lifted from marketing. The masterplan promises far more, Propsearch records 45 km of cycling and jogging tracks planned across the estate and Emaar's own copy has quoted up to 54 km, but most of that total is jogging path and internal community trail; what exists as one coherent ride today is the boulevard-and-park spine we map. It is a loop-and-back ride rather than a destination circuit: flat, wide and quiet, closer in character to Marina and JLT leisure riding than to a training track.

Dubai Hills Park

The park is the centrepiece and the best turnaround point. It covers 180,000 sqm with 1,800 palms and trees, general entry is free and the green areas are open 24/7 (Bayut). Inside there is a 2.5 km running track, sports courts, and gated paid attractions including the Skate Park and Splash Park. There is no verified dedicated cycling track inside the park itself: the smooth internal paths are popular with children learning to ride (YallaCycle rates it a beginner and balance-bike venue), but adult riders should treat the park as walking pace and keep the real riding to the boulevard lanes outside.

Getting there

There is no metro station in the estate, so this is a drive-or-bus ride. The obvious start is Dubai Hills Mall, which opened in February 2022 at the northern corner of the estate where Umm Suqeim Street meets Al Khail Road, with around 7,000 parking spaces and about 650 stores for the post-ride coffee. From the mall the boulevard lanes run south-west through the community. Toward Al Barsha, the estate's north-west boundary road is Umm Suqeim Street (D63); we have not yet field-checked the crossing point toward Al Barsha South, so treat that link as unconfirmed. A far better connection is coming: RTA announced a 13.5 km multi-use track from Al Sufouh to Dubai Hills via Hessa Street, 4.5 m wide with dedicated cycle and pedestrian halves and bridges over Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, which will plug the estate into the coastal network.

What riders should know

This is polite-speed community riding, and the estate's daily rhythms set the tempo. Three GEMS schools (GEMS Wellington Academy Al Khail, GEMS International School and GEMS New Millennium School) share one campus zone on Al Marabea' Street at the edge of the estate, and the weekday school run floods the surrounding junctions with cars roughly 7 to 8 am and again at pickup; time your ride around it or route away from the school cluster. Expect e-scooters and delivery riders on the lanes, walking-pace crowds near the park entrances on winter evenings, and the usual Dubai rules on helmets and lights, see our rules page. We have not yet confirmed lighting along the full route, so treat after-dark riding as unverified for now. If you outgrow the loop, the estate is a 20-minute drive from the floodlit training circuits at Nad Al Sheba and the open desert kilometres of Al Qudra.
