Nad Al Sheba is built like a training venue, not a trail: three nested loops of 4, 6 and 8 km share a start area, so you pick a lap length that matches the session — a gentle 4 km spin with kids, or repeats of the 8 km circuit for structured training. The loops are flat, wide and completely car-free, with a separate parallel track keeping joggers and walkers out of your line. That separation matters: unlike the Jumeirah beachfront path, you will not thread through pedestrians here. Guides also report a BMX track, pump track, jump track and a mountain-bike area on site (we’re verifying their current state on the ground), which makes NAS the only track of Dubai’s big three where a family can split up — road laps for one rider, dirt for the teenager, and the miniature road-safety course for younger children, complete with scaled-down street signs, roundabouts and speed bumps. Riders on the main loops log distance by lap count, and because every lap returns you to the facilities hub, you’re never more than a few kilometres from water, toilets or your car.

Getting there & parking

Nad Al Sheba Cycle Park sits in the Nad Al Sheba district beside Meydan Racecourse, roughly 15 minutes’ drive from Downtown Dubai. It is the only one of Dubai’s three flagship tracks with workable public transport: guides list bus routes 66 and 67 serving the area (route details change — verify current RTA timetables before relying on them), and the nearest Metro station is Business Bay, about 10 km away, from which a taxi is the practical last leg. Most riders simply drive: there is dedicated free parking at the entrance next to the rental shops and cafés. Because the park runs 24 hours, arrival time is about crowd preference rather than access — the car park sees its rush after sunset in summer, when Dubai’s riders migrate here for floodlit laps. If you’re carrying your own bike, you can unload within metres of the loop start; if not, the rental operators are at the same entrance hub. Rentals & facilities

The facilities hub is what separates NAS from every other Dubai track. At the entrance cluster you’ll find bike rental operators — guides name Bike On (06:00–23:00, from about AED 60/hour), BikePark and DXB Bike, with entry-level hires from around AED 50 — alongside cafés repeatedly cited by visitors (Bike On café, The Loop, The Juice Merchant; we’re confirming current tenants). Crucially, the park has proper changing infrastructure: clean restrooms, lockers and showers, which means you can ride before work — a genuine rarity in Dubai’s outdoor sports venues. Helmets come with rentals, and the kids’ road-safety course means a family can rent for everyone at one counter. Everything loops back to this hub each lap, so refuelling mid-session is trivial: finish a lap, grab water or juice, roll out again. Note that rental hours are narrower than the park’s 24-hour access — after roughly 11 pm you ride your own bike or not at all. NAS is Dubai’s summer salvation: when Al Qudra is unrideable by 9 am, locals do floodlit laps here at 10 pm — expect the park busiest on summer evenings and winter weekend mornings. The skyline is part of the draw: riders consistently mention the Burj Khalifa and Downtown backdrop from the far side of the loops, best at dusk (rider observation, not an official claim). Lap etiquette matters more here than anywhere in Dubai because speeds diverge sharply on a shared circuit: faster riders pass on the left with a call, slower riders and families keep right, and groups shouldn’t swarm the full track width. The loops are flat but deceptively windy on the exposed back stretches — a common surprise for riders expecting a sheltered park. Beginners on rentals should start with the 4 km loop at off-peak times before mixing with paceline traffic on the 8 km circuit. And bring a lock only if you plan to stop at the cafés mid-ride; most riders keep it minimal.
